I calibrate the power of influence.
Ingeniously.
My talent turns inform into transform — transcends storytelling to story selling.

Dream it.
Hired by a global health care system based in Ohio, I directed the final phase of high-stakes, complex and politically-sensitive proposal to advocate for a multi-million dollar technology-transfer collaboration. Gained the trust of the team members in-house who initiated the work — which was essential to fulfill the objective I was charged to successfully carry out. Met the project’s urgent deadline.
Build it.
Envisioned transformational plan to attract more immigrants to greater Cleveland for broad-based, long-term impact on the region’s economy. Led project, which attracted funding and momentum for a nonprofit and related programs to advance the objective. Subsequently, was hired by the new group’s leadership to assess effectiveness, as perceived by stakeholders, and give recommendations.
Grow it.
Amplified the impact and outreach of an elite university’s technology spin-off. Created plan to increase influence. Then, built the scaffolding and communications assets it outlined. Established editorial content standards and templates. Transformed engagement across social media. Trained staff. Earned coverage from Wired, Reuters, Scientific American and other prominent publications.
Possibilities inspire me. I’m hard-wired to see solutions. I’ve mastered the art and science of divining the most important goal, most crucial audience and most essential impact. Then, energetically envisioning how to get there.
I’m that rare creative type who is both innovative and obsessed with the bottom line.
An entrepreneur who meets deadlines and budget targets, I’m also a big thinker who builds trust, affirms resolve and envisions new ideas. This magical combination consistently leads to benevolent breakthroughs.
Enterprise and persistence are innate. Those qualities led me to start advising corporate, nonprofit and public-sector clients about a decade ago as a consultant.
That came after a 15-year career as an award-winning journalist based in Washington, D.C., then Sydney, Australia, and finally Cleveland.
My work has run in The New York Times, Bloomberg Business Week, Salon, The Wall Street Journal and elsewhere. I’ve been a regular contributor to blogs, including Social Media Today, PR Daily. My work has been cited in books, legal and academic journals and by researchers at universities, think tanks and many other organizations.
I’ve taught graduate college seminar classes on public relations, influence and communications and feature as a guest on podcasts, radio and television broadcasts, including National Public Radio. That experience complements customized training workshops and presentations — in person and virtually.
